The Don Geronimo Show - January 11, 2012

Don begins the day with a tape from yesterday's show of Dave laughing while Craig puked. It sounds oddly similar to the laugh of Anderson Cooper's, so Don mashes the two together. We also hear that a detective agency has offered to monitor our parking lot to protect it from the thief that's been prowling around, so they will start tomorrow, and Don wants to get them Segues to ride on. Don then plays a clip of President Obama singing Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and a tribute to the Broncos and Tim Tebow, by John Parr, who wrote "St. Elmo's Fire." The song is basically "St. Elmo's Fire," with a few words changed (Tim Tebow's Fire). Don then tells us about the time he partied with John Parr, who was shooting smack in the bathroom.

While discussing the worst smells ever, the guys get on the topic of gigantic earrings that stretch out ones earlobes (gauges), something that Don has never seen or heard of. Even Phantom has heard of it! The guys all question why anyone would do that to themselves. We then get a visit from our good buddy, funny man Frank Caliendo, who makes a big announcement: He will be doing a live show at Thunder Valley on March 2nd, and all the guys from the show will be there! Don then gives away tickets before you can buy them to a lucky winner (to purchase tickets, go to thundervalleyresort.com or the Thunder Valley Box Office). Tickets go on sale at 10am this Saturday!

Don tells us about an Indiana mom who punished her delinquent teenage son by making him wear a sandwich board that says things like "I hate the police," and "I sell drugs." Don thinks that would be a splendid thing to do with Craig tomorrow. We also hear about a 7 year old boy who had cancer, and got to blow up a building as his "Make A Wish." After hearing about a woman who got impregnated by having sex with a dead man in a mortuary, we get a caller who tells us that there is a racial slur in the second line to AC/DC's "Highway To Hell." The guys then play the song numerous times to see if they can hear it.

Our favorite gay LaRoy stops by, and in light of the major announcement today about Frank Caliendo, Don suggests that Roy and his boyfriend Corey get married before the show at Thunder Valley. Don even calls Corey, who replies with "Oh, Jesus!" After the guys rate their favorite DeNiro movies, and we hear a caller who apparently had us on party line and didn't know we could hear his conversation, it's time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today Phantom talks about a new "Bruce Almighty" movie, the new Betty White prank show for the elderly on NBC, and the TV ratings from last week. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
