The Don Geronimo Show - February 6, 2012

It's the day after the Super Bowl, and Don is bummed, because that means he has to wait 6 months for the season to start over. The guys then get into a discussion about Madonna's halftime show, their favorite commercials, and why Don thought NBC'S coverage sucked. The guys also talk about Dave's "Twitter baiting" during the game, what was on Kelly Clarkson's wrist during the National Anthem, and why wasn't Jean Pierre-Paul's blind father wearing sunglasses? Don also tells us that he was too exhausted to go see Wayne Newton on Saturday, but that Wayne called Don up later to invite Don to his home in Vegas!

After Don does his "Gisele" impersonation, and tells us about the phone call his son Bart made to him yesterday, Don calls in Billy and Ron to discuss where they will be going today to give away Kings tickets. The guys also talk about the Big Game Party yesterday, where a mentally challenged guy thought one of our sales guys was gay. Don then decides to send Billy and Ron to Raley's in South Sac. We then hear clips from Eli Manning's interview, except Don throws in a Corky clip from "Life Goes On." Of course, Craig knows exactly what episode it is, and Don actually has Craig come into the studio to call Chris Burke, who isn't home. Craig instead talks to Chris Burke's mom about being on the show Thursday!

After Don tells us his story about Eli and Peyton's brother Cooper calling the Don and Mike Show back in the day, and we hear an ad for "Sauna Pants," We get a call from Billy and Ron, who are now at the Raley's. Billy puts the lucky listeners on the phone to talk to Don about coming to the Kings game on Thursday. Don then tells us that someone is actually trying to sell Dave's stolen golf clubs on craigslist. Don decides to call the guy to tell him he's interested in buying the bag, as well as the stolen clubs, then has Dave get on the phone with him to close the deal. Unbeknownst to Don however, he forgets to hang up with the guy, and the guy ends up hearing what we're up to. The guy calls the station back to find out what's going on. After Dave explains to the guy during the break what's going on, everybody decides that the pawn shop this guy got the bag and clubs from could be liable for not checking the police report Dave filed.

We then find out that Adam Lambert is not going to front Queen for their upcoming tour, and we also hear a clip of a news anchor slipping up while describing a sausage competition. Ross Tucker from ESPN then stops by to talk about the Super Bowl. Ross, who didn't go to the game because his wife is due any day now with their first child, talks with Don about coach Belichick cutting a player the night before the game, who the unsung heroes of the game were, and is Eli now better than Peyton?

After a listener sends Little Joe nude pics of a naked woman with no legs who he says is is wife, it's time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom tells us the overnight ratings for the Super Bowl, Kelly Clarkson beating the over on the length of her National Anthem, Jack In The Box has a "Bacon milkshake," and Daniel Radcliffe was drunk during the filming of Harry Potter. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
