The Don Geronimo Show - April 30, 2012
Don starts the day with a recap of his weekend, which included a visit from his son Bart, the last boxes from their move finally unpacked, and all the cool old stuff they found, including Don's middle school yearbook. We also hear about a clown suit and prison suit that Janet packed, but can't seem to find. After hearing Janet's "stealth tape" of Don working the DVR on Saturday, Nancy O'Dell from Entertainment Tonight stops by to talk about tonight's episode, which will include Liberace's former lover.
After hearing some new lousy parody songs from Little Joe's show prep site, Phantom tells us that his son Kyle's senior prom was this past weekend, and it cost over $200 just to rent the tux.We then get a visit from Reno Wilson, star of the CBS TV series Mike and Molly. Reno talks about his days on The Cosby Show, and what it's like being the "skinny guy" on Mike and Molly. Slow Joe went to the "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" charity walk on Saturday, in which he had to wear high heels and walk a mile. Joe plays the sound clips he got from the event, and the guys bet on how many of them are going to be any good.
After hearing about a man arrested for DUI named Obi Wan Kenobi, and "David Stern's" presser regarding Slow Joe's coverage of the charity walk, Don tells us about a guy who sells testicular implants for dogs. We then hear about a guy in Poland who broke up with his orthodontist girlfriend, but kept his oral surgery appointment, resulting in his ex pulling all of his teeth, and a 73 year old man who blew up his garage trying to build a lamp out of artillery shells. It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Among the stories today: "The Avengers made over $170 million overseas, a Jonas Brothers reality show in the making, and Star Trek: The Next Generation debuted today in 1987. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
