The Don Geronimo Show - April 24, 2012

Today, Don begins by telling us that Jodi Bacon has a new Twitter page: @Kosherbaconbits, in which anything she tweets is "not work related, and entirely unfiltered." Dave reads a few tweets from Jodi's stream of consciousness, doing his best Jodi voice. After a quick discussion on the new season of "The Franchise," which features the Florida Marlins, and Ozzie Guillen, Don plays one of his favorite clips- outtakes from a Barry White promotional ad, in which Barry curses numerous times at the lousy script writing. We then hear that Big Freda sent Don a story about a jogger in Ocean City who is taking dumps in people's front yards. Don calls Big Freda up to get the details. We then return to the Alan Thicke tapes yesterday, from an educational video called "When Mommy and Daddy Break Up." Don plays the 5 songs from the video, and the guys sing along, making up their own words.

The guys then do a little more Rob, Arnie, and Dawn bashing, before Don tells us about a girl fight in Rio Linda that erupted over a Facebook post, and Dave reads the newest Jodi tweets, before bringing in Taxi Dave, who is a hip taxi driver in Sacramento that plays party music in his cab when driving patrons around the Sacramento downtown scene, and even has a series of internet videos that have him singing and dancing. Taxi Dave tells us about what it's like to get a ride from him, how he got started into doing this, and the wildest things he's seen while on the job. The show then takes a serious turn whet Naked Lady Di calls up, telling Don she wants to "end it all." Don and the guys do their best to make her feel better, trying to talk her down, and make her realize things aren't as bad as they seem, and that suicide isn't the answer. Don even gets on the phone personally, off the air, to help her out.

We then get a few new stories from Don, including Mark Wahlberg buying an "April Flores Vagina Mold" at a sex shop, Saints GM Mickey Loomis accused of spying on other teams, Dick Clark had prostate surgery the day before he passed, Anchorman 2 will have another "anchor fight scene," and Cee Lo farts on "The Voice." It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Among the stories today: The Beach Boys' 50th Anniversary Tour kicks off tonight in Tucson, Mel Gibson will appear in the movie "Machete Kills," HBO's latest numbers, and Lindsay Lohan will star as Liz Taylor in the movie "Liz and Dick." And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
