Teen Critically Injured By Car On Fruitridge
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A teen pedestrian is being treated for life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Sacramento on Thursday evening.
The Sacramento Police Department said the 16-year-old female was in a crosswalk on Fruitridge Road near 56th street when she was hit just after 5:10 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities said the victim was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene of the incident. Police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
