SUV Slams Into Oak Park Home Overnight
OAK PARK (CBS13) - Two suspects on the run after losing control and slamming an SUV into a home in Oak Park overnight.
Just before midnight, neighbors heard the white SUV plow through the dining room of a home on San Carlos Way and 14th Avenue.
Three people inside the home were sleeping but were not hurt in the accident.
Two people inside the SUV ran away after the crash and have not bee located.
Police say there were empty beer cans in the SUV so alcohol may have been a factor.
The crash also caused a small gas leak that was capped.
Officers say the SUV narrowly missed a hydrant that could have flooded the home.
