Suspicious Device Near California Capitol Prompts Road Closures

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The California Highway Patrol is investigating a suspicious device in the area of the California Capitol building on Tuesday.

The device was located on Tuesday afternoon and has prompted road closures in the area. N Street is closed down at 13th Street, and 15th Street is also shut down.

The suspicious device was spotted in Capitol Park. The timing of the discovery and the closures are creating a traffic headache in Downtown Sacramento.
