Suspected Vandals Crash Planes At NorCal Airport
MONTAGUE, Calif. (AP) — Authorities are looking for suspected vandals who crashed a small plane at a Northern California airport into another aircraft, causing an estimated $250,000 in damage.
Siskiyou County sheriff's deputies found the damaged aircraft on the runway of Montague Airport early Monday morning. Sheriff's officials say two other planes were also vandalized and a nearby hangar was burglarized.
Federal and state agencies, including the FBI and California Department of Justice, have been called in to help with the investigation.
