Suspected Bank Robber Killed In Citrus Heights Has Been Identified
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – A suspected bank robber shot and killed on Wednesday in Citrus Heights has been identified.
The Sacramento County Coroner's office has identified the man as 51-year-old Jeffery Gonzales of Citrus Heights.
Police say Gonzales claimed to have a gun and an explosive device while he attempted to rob a Union Bank.
Officers arrived shortly after and surrounded the bank and when Gonzales came out, they shot and killed him.
No one else was hurt.
The names of the officers involved have not been released.
