Storm Knocks Out Power To Thousands
NEVADA CITY (CBS13) - PG&E has restored power to thousands of customers in Nevada City but is still working to turn the lights back on for hundreds more in other foothill communities.
Earlier this morning, power went out about 3:30 a.m. t0 3,600 customers in Nevada City but it was restored just after daybreak.
Along with the outage in Nevada County, there are also outages in Placer, Sierra and El Dorado counties totaling nearly 15,000 customers in the dark right now.
There are also thousands people without power in Tuolumne, Calaveras and surrounding counties.
PG&E says access problems could prevent them from getting the power back on until late this evening or early tomorrow morning.
