Sonora School Closed Due To Wind-Caused Power Outage
SONORA (CBS13) – A Sonora school is closed for the day following yesterday's fierce windstorm that knocked out power in the area and felled several big trees.
Curtis Creek School will be closed for the day because power is still out in the area.
The winds caused some severe damage in and around Sonora. In nearby Twain Harte, a large tree fell and literally split a dentist office in half.
The tree ripped through the roof and landed on a chair where a little girl was sitting.
That little girl wasn't hurt and twenty others inside also escaped injury.
