Show Dog Worth About $27,000 Stolen From RV
SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (AP) — Santa Cruz county authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a show dog worth thousands of dollars that was stolen from a motor home.
The Santa Cruz Sentinel reports the Great Dane named "Knight" was taken from the vehicle while it was parked on property outside of Scotts Valley Tuesday.
The owner of the dog, Naud Robinson, says he had purchased the dog from a breeder in Australia for $27,000.
The 60-year-old Robinson says he left the dog in the motor home for about an hour. When he came back, his Great Dane was gone.
Robinson says he did not have an insurance policy on the dog.
The thief, or thieves, seemed to be rather particular about what they took from the motor home. Another dog, electronics and other valuables were not taken.
