Sheriff's Department Searching For Rancho Cordova Shooting Suspect

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) — Sacramento County Sheriff's detectives have released sketches of a suspect in a May homicide.

The shooting happened near apartment complex along the 9800 block of Lincoln Village Drive on May 16. Witnesses say the man was shot from a car and the shooter or shooters are on the run.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s with long dreadlocks who was wearing a grey hoodie at the time.

The car is described as a light grey or silver 2015 Hyundai Sonata, 4-door sedan. Investigators describe it as a stock model with no additional window tint. The quality of the images obscured the license plate.

Detectives don't know the relationship between the suspect and 19-year-old Al Alexander. Alexander was taken to the hospital after Saturday's shooting, but later died from his injuries.
