SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan was arrested alongside 18 others when "Occupy Sacramento" activists refused to leave Cesar Chavez Park at midnight.
The Sacramento Police Department said arrested the 19 demonstrators for unlawful assembly and failing to disperse, both misdemeanor charges.
Dozens of arrests have been made over the past week due to Sacramento's regulations that prevent overnight camping, which demonstrators say restrict their right to free speech.
Sheehan and many of those arrested were released Sunday morning and will be ordered to appear in court this week.
The Sacramento demonstrators have been marching in solidarity with the ongoing "Occupy Wall Street" protests, which have entered their fourth week in New York City.
