Several Residents Taken To Hospital After Fire At Sacramento Senior Living Facility
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A fire broke out in a senior living facility in south Sacramento early Thursday morning, forcing dozens of its residents to evacuate.
Several residents were also sent to the hospital, authorities say.
The fire happened at around 1 a.m. at the Regency Place on Arroyo Vista Drive, just north of Cosumnes River Boulevard.
About 50 people inside the facility were evacuated. Fire crews remained on scene for some time after to fire was knocked down to help assist those residents back to their rooms.
According to fire crews on scene, a few people inside the facility were taken to the hospital for smoke-related injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
