Sacramento police investigate shooting near Grant High School
SACRAMENTO — Multiple people were detained after a shooting near Grant Union High School in north Sacramento, police said Friday.
Sacramento police said officers responded just before 2 p.m. to a reported shooting on Grand Avenue, just down the street from the school in the Del Paso Heights neighborhood.
Bullet casings and a vehicle that appeared to have been struck by gunfire were located. No victims were located, police said.
No further details regarding those who were detained were released.
The shooting placed Grant High on a brief lockdown while law enforcement officials searched and processed the area.
