Sacramento Duplex Goes Up In Flames
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - There were some scary moments in a Sacramento neighborhood today. A duplex went up in flames, and neighbors thought a homeowner was trapped inside.
Firefighters responded to the 9-1-1 calls and found flames and smoke coming from the duplex on 65th Street.
"Fortunately the occupant was not home and crews were able to extinguish the fire. It did extend to an adjacent unit behind it because there's a common attic," said Sacramento City Fire Department Battalion Chief Jonathon Burgess.
Despite the extensive damage, no one was injured.
