Reports: Kings Brawl In Locker Room After Loss

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins will be sitting out Sunday night's game against Phoenix after reportedly starting a physical altercation in the team's locker room after Saturday's close loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Sacramento Kings announced Sunday that Cousins would not play Sunday night while the organization investigates the alleged brawl.

A CBS Sports blog post reported that the rookie forward was furious after Donte Greene passed the ball to Tyreke Evans with five seconds left in the game and a two point deficit. Evans clanged a three-point attempt off the rim and Beno Udrih couldn't tip in the rebound, giving the Thunder a 99-97 win.

Cousins appeared visibly angry on the court following the loss and reportedly harangued Evans for his miss as the team walked off the court and into the locker room. When Cousins turned his ire onto Greene, the two came to blows before teammates pulled them apart.

The Kings' season record currently stands at 12-38, the worst in the Western Conference.
