Rapper Gathering Petition Signatures To Save Fire Captain's Job

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A local rapper is trying to save the job of a Willow Oak fire captain who helped him make a racy video on the taxpayer's dime.

The rapper known as Nineveh says he's doing all that he can to right what he insists is not a wrong.

"I didn't think it was a big deal," he said. "He didn't think it was a big deal. The public's just blown it way out of proportion."

The fire captain he's trying to help, Marcus Klinkhammer, gave the rapper full access to the station and even used a fire truck as a prop—without permission and at the expense of taxpayers.

Nineveh is going door-to-door with a petition to help save Klinkhammer's job. Dozens have signed so far.

When asked if he would do it all over again, even if it would cost the fire captain's job and career, Nineveh said he'd do it all over again.

"Well, he consented to it," he said.

The rapper says he'll take the petition to the fire district and the board of supervisors.
