Preliminary 5.0 Magnitude Quake Shakes Near The Geysers
THE GEYSERS (CBS13) - Continuing a string of seismic activity across California recently, a preliminary magnitude 5.0 quake struck near The Geysers Wednesday morning.
The earthquake, which happened a little after 8:30 a.m., was centered a little over 13 miles west of Cloverdale.
There has been no initial word of damages or anyone injured.
Earlier Wednesday morning, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake shook California's central coast, 13 miles north of Morro Bay.
The area near the Geysers is a very active earthquake region. Smaller quakes are linked to the steam power plant, USGS says.
