Pregnant Woman Shot In Modesto
MODESTO, Calif. (AP) -- Sheriff's officials say an 18-year-old pregnant woman was hospitalized in critical condition after she was shot in Modesto.
Stanislaus County Sheriff's deputies responded to multiple reports of gunfire at a city intersection a little after 11 p.m. Friday.
People in one vehicle apparently shot at the occupants of another vehicle before fleeing.
Sheriff's officials say they found the 18-year-old woman inside the vehicle that was hit with gunfire. A second person inside that vehicle was not injured.
Officials have not identified any suspects or a possible motive.
