Standoff Between Car Chase Suspect, SWAT Ends Peacefully
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police say the suspect wanted in a car chase Wednesday morning has surrendered peacefully.
The scene was near Azevedo and W. El Camino drives, according to the Sacramento Police Department. Police say that a 27-year-old man led them on a car chase, only to get out and run.
A SWAT team was called out to the scene and a standoff ensued.
Police soon learned that three children under the age of 10 were with the suspect.
A little after noon, police announced that the suspect had surrendered peacefully and the children were safe.
