Police: Sonora Woman Attacked Boyfriend With Can Of Soup

SONORA (CBS13) - Police say a woman was arrested in Sonora after she allegedly attacked a man with a can of soup.

The incident happened Tuesday morning at the Sonora Gold Lodge along the 480 block of Stockton Street. Officers say responded to the scene and found that a man and his girlfriend had been in a fight.

Officers soon learned that man had been hit by an unopened can of soup. The man tried to leave after being hit, but the woman threw the can of soup at him, police say, and was hit again.

Police say the man had visible injuries, but declined to be treated.

The woman, 22-year-old Katrina Guthrey, was already on probation due to prior convictions. She was arrested and booked into Tuolumne County Jail, facing assault charges.
