UPDATED: South Sacramento Standoff Suspect Arrested
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police have arrested a suspect who was at the center of a South Sacramento standoff Monday.
The standoff began when James Catlin, 22, was seen driving a vehicle with what looked like a rifle, say police. When police officers tried to pull Catlin over, he allegedly drove off and lead officers on a high-speed chase.
Catlin then reportedly left the vehicle in the area of 24th and Yreka Avenue and jumped over fences to evade officers.
Nearby Woodbine Elementary was placed on lockdown.
Catlin was taken into custody at around 5:30 p.m.
