Police: Woman Shot Multiple Times During Robbery In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police are investigating a shooting near Southside Park in Sacramento.

The scene is at 11th and W Streets.

Officers were called to the scene around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a shooting. Sacramento Police say a woman was shot multiple times during an apparent robbery. She has been taken to the hospital and is reportedly in critical condition.

A search is on for the suspect. Police say the woman and the suspect did not know each other.

Two schools in the area, Met High School and William Land Park Elementary, were placed on precautionary lockdown due to the incident and suspect search. The lockdowns were lifted just after noon.
