Pedestrian Killed In Citrus Heights Hit And Run
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) -- Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who allegedly killed a pedestrian Monday evening.
The Citrus Heights Police Department said a man in his 40s was struck by a small compact car while he was crossing Greenback Lane near Verner Avenue.
Authorities are searching for the vehicle, which fled east on Greenback Lane and likely has significant front-end damage.
The victim was fatally wounded in the accident. His identity has not yet been released.
