NFL TOP 5/BOTTOM 5 for week 7

7 weeks are complete in the NFL and here are the teams that I consider the 5 best and 5 worst.  What do you think of this list?

Bottom 5

28.   San Francisco 49ers-  It is the first time that the Niners have landed in the bottom 5, but watching on Thursday they looked like the worst team in the NFL.  They are struggling everywhere and just need a win or two to get back on track but where will that win come?

29.  Houston Texans- What a mess?  An embarrassing loss to the Dolphins, followed by the team electing to cut backup quarterback Ryan Mallett, and a season ending injury for Arian Foster and this looks like a dreadful second half of the season awaits Houston.

30.  Baltimore Ravens-  The one team proving that the good coach and quarterback theory isn't full proof to make the playoffs.  The recipe worked before but the cupboard is closer to empty for the playoff regular Ravens.

31.  Tennessee Titans- They keep losing close games but they are still loses.  Top pick Marcus Marriotta didn't play last game and they hope he returns this week.  The Titans just don't have enough.

32.  Detroit Lions- Detroit finally tasted victory but couldn't repeat it on Sunday against division rival Minnesota.  The Lions built a comfortable lead but refused to hold on.  With just 1 win, Detroit is back in the bottom of the bottom.

TOP 5

5.  Carolina Panthers- I have been late to the Panthers party, but they keep winning without a lot of star power. The Panthers are riding the MVP like train of Cam Newton and it is looking strong at the moment.

4.  Denver Broncos- Denver's defense is dominant and they are just waiting to see if the offense will catch up, if it does then look out.

3.  Green Bay Packers- Green Bay is nearly unbeatable at home and close to that on the road.  They haven't been as dominant lately but still unblemished with Aaron Rodgers makes them very tough to beat.

2.  Cincinnati Bengals- The Bengals can end the mystery of who will win the AFC North as soon as this week if they beat Pittsburgh.  The Bengals have had a week to get ready and can show that they are the class of the division with a win.

1. New England Patriots- The Pats just keep rolling.  They answered another test with the tough defense of the Jets on Sunday and now on a short week they stay in the division against the Dolphins on Thursday.  They are the team to beat until proven otherwise.
