Man Killed In Drive-By Shooting In South Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Investigators say a homicide in south Sacramento started as a drive-by shooting.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday near Parker Avenue and 45th Street.

Two men, both 27-years-old, were shot. One of them died in the hospital, authorities say. He had suffered gunshot wounds to his head and lower body.

Witnesses say the other man was shot in the leg. He is reportedly in stable condition and is expected to survive.

Detectives have not released the identity of the man killed.

At this point, deputies have not released any kind of suspect information or said if they think this was gang-related.
