SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) – Detectives are investigating after a shooting victim was found at an apartment complex Tuesday morning.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to the 600 block of Howe Avenue, near Sierra Avenue, a little before 7 a.m. due to a reported shooting. At the scene, a man in his mid-30s was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

That man has since been taken to a hospital. Deputies believe the injury is not life-threatening.

Detectives do not know exactly where the shooting took place. Only a vague description of the suspect has been given to authorities.
