Magnitude-8.3 Earthquake Strikes Off Coast Of Chile Near Santiago
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A massive earthquake has struck off the coast of Santiago, Chile.
The United States Geological Service says the magnitude 8.3 earthquake struck just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday in Chile, or 4 p.m. in California. A magnitude-6.3 aftershock reportedly struck 24 minutes after the first quake.

Hawaii is currently under a tsunami watch.
The earthquake had a reported depth of 15.5 miles.
