List: NFL TOP 5/BOTTOM 5

Another week of the NFL has come and gone so it is time to rank the best and worst teams in the league.  So here we go.

Bottom 5

28.  Cleveland Browns:  The dog pound probably deserves better than this but with 2 wins and 6 losses another non-playoff year and early draft pick seems inevitable.

29.  Jacksonville Jaguars:  Jacksonville just can't find any sustainable progress.  The awful AFC South is wide open but the Jags refuse to take that invitation.

30.  San Francisco 49ers:  For the 2nd straight week they Niners are in the bottom 5.  The 32nd offense in the NFL and now a quarterback switch makes for a looooong season for a once proud franchise.

31.  Detroit Lions:  A trip to London was supposed to get this team right, along with a switch in offensive coordinator to Jim Bob Cooter.  That didn't happen and a blowout occurred by the Kansas City Chiefs.

32.  Tennessee Titans:  The Titans are becoming a staple at the bottom.  Just 1 win, an injury to the key to their future and now a coaching change.  Ken Whisenhunt is out and the long season continues.

Top 5

5.  Green Bay Packers:  Green Bay stumbled this week on the road with Denver's defense doing the impossible.  They made Aaron Rodgers look just ordinary.  Green Bay should be back but it may take a while as they play undefeated Carolina this week.

4.  Carolina Panthers:  Cam and Co. just keep getting it done.  On Monday night the Panthers survived a close call with the Colts.  Still perfect the Panthers stay in the top 5.

3.  Cincinnati Bengals-  The Bengals also made it through this week with Pittsburgh nearly giving them their first loss.  The offense wasn't great but in the end, winning on the road in the division is always good.

2.  Denver Broncos:  Denver's most impressive game of the season happened on SNF.  The defense stole the headlines but Peyton Manning was also very good on Sunday too.  The quest to find a running game may slowly be paying dividends too.

1.  New England Patriots: Thursday night was another statement by the Pats as they took on the Miami Dolphins and made them look silly.  They have a great quarterback and a great coach that always seem focused.  Beating them is possible but won't be easy.
