Lincoln Stabbing Suspect Surrenders To Police

LINCOLN (CBS13) - A Lincoln man accused of stabbing his wife last Sunday has surrendered to police, according to the Lincoln Police Dept.

Angel Casarez Romero, 28, turned himself in at the Lincoln Police Department on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Authorities say they received a call Sunday at about 1 a.m. saying a woman was stabbed at an apartment on Joiner Parkway. When officers arrived, they found the woman inside an apartment with multiple life-threatening stab wounds. The next day police identified Romero as a suspect.

Romero was taken into custody and booked into the Placer County Jail. He faces an attempted murder charge.

The investigation is still ongoing.
