House Guest Arrested For El Dorado Co. Attempted Homicide And Arson
EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) – A woman staying as a house guest at an El Dorado County home likely won't be asked back after allegedly setting the house on fire earlier this week, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies were called to a home on the 8200 block of Kirk Lane in Mt. Aukum early Wednesday morning for a possible arson.
When deputies arrived, they found firefighters from the Pioneer District Fire Department battling a fire at the home.
After investigating, deputies learned a 33-year-old woman staying at the home as a guest was believed to be responsible for the fire. Deputies later found the woman, Amber Nash, in the area.
Nash was arrested for attempted homicide and arson. She was taken to the El Dorado County Main Jail where she is being held without bail.
