Homicide On MLK Jr. Blvd Last Night In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO(CBS13)- A man was reported dead this morning at the scene of a shooting around 1:00 a.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 44th Avenue in South Sacramento.

Deputies say they responded to the area for a call of shots fired. When they responded on scene they found a 48-year-old man who was shot in the upper chest area. Sacramento Metro Fire arrived to the crime area and pronounced the man dead on scene.

Homicide detectives are currently investigating the crime, as of right now there is no known suspect description or motive.

Sacramento County Coroner will be releasing the name of the victim.
