Grave Mistake: Sacramento Mom Says Cemetery Wants To Move Slain Son
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A cemetery mixup is causing more pain for a Sacramento mother whose son was murdered less than a year ago.
The remains of 20-year-old Maurice Lynch were buried at St. Mary's Cemetery last summer. His mother, April Robinson, says she got a call from the cemetery.
"He was buried in the wrong spot and they have to move him," she said.
Sacramento's Catholic Diocese, which operates the cemetery says a grave mistake was made, and her son's couldn't stay there.
"Another family owns that plot so that wouldn't be possible," said Kevin Eckery
April doesn't want the remains of her son moved from his final resting place, and she can't bear to bury her son again.
"We prayed over that spot, my whole family put the dirt on the box, and we can't do that all over again," she said.
