Fortune Charter Celebrates Newest Addition In Meadowview, Honors Stephon Clark
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Fortune Charter Schools celebrated its newest addition on Friday, Tecoy Porter College Prep.
The school is named after a Meadowview neighborhood pastor, and the playground will be named in honor of Stephon Clark, who was shot and killed by Sacramento police nearly two years ago.
Fortune Charter says the goal is to bridge the educational gap for African American students.
Construction on the school should wrap up by the fall.
