Former Sacramento Teacher Sentenced To 26 Years For Lewd Acts With 2 Boys

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A former Sacramento school teacher has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for molesting two boys, the district attorney announced Friday.

Shane Vicars was convicted on 13 counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old by jury in February.

The two male victims attended an after school program at Sierra Oaks Elementary School, where Vicars formerly taught.

"Thanks to District Attorney Victim Advocates Colette Brown and Ann Tran, the victims and their families received the support they needed throughout the difficult criminal justice process," said Deputy District Attorney Shauna Franklin in a press release.
