Firefighters Aid Police Searching For Suspects In Modesto Park

MODESTO (CBS13) - Police and firefighters are searching a Modesto park for suspected thieves.

Around 10:30 a.m. police received a call reporting that a man and woman had stolen some property. Police were notified later that two people who fit the suspects' description were in Moose Park, according to a statement from Modesto police.

A witness at the park told police the female suspect, who was in the creek, asked if "they" were still around, not elaborating on who she was referring to.

Police searched the park as crews from Modesto, Stanislaus Consolidated, and Ceres fire departments searched the water.

The male suspect has also not been found.
