Fire Damages West Sacramento Home
WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Firefighters are still mopping up hot spots at a West Sacramento home that partly went up in flames.
Firefighters were called out to the home on Rogers Street near Riverbank Elementary School on Tuesday morning.
The husband and wife couple that lives in the home says they were awoken in the 6 a.m. hour to the sound of the fire alarm. Both were able to get out of the home safely.
The fire appears to have started in a garage that was converted into a bedroom, say firefighters. They had difficulty accessing the flames, which had spread to the attic.
