Family Devastated After Dog Snatched In Home Robbery

STOCKTON (CBS13) – A family was stunned after discovering thieves had cleaned out their home of valuables and electronics during a bold daylight robbery, but the theft of their dog during the heist was almost too much to bear.

The family's Pomeranian dog, named Gizmo, was stolen out of their Stockton home Friday morning along with their television and video game consoles.

Police have not yet made any arrests in the incident, but witnesses reported seeing two suspects leaving the scene in a green minivan with an Ed Hardy sticker on the back.

Homeowner Jolene Eckels said the loss of the dog feels like the loss of a family member, and said she won't ask any questions if Gizmo is returned to their home.

"I don't care if you bring him in the middle of the night and drop him off. I really don't care about whatever else you have," Jolene said. "The kids, it's a part of the family, it's like another kid."
