Elk Grove School Redistricting Plan On Hold For Now

ELK GROVE (CBS13) –  Junior high and high school students in Elk Grove will not be forced to change schools next year.

That decision made Tuesday after a heated school board discussion.

Many parents are upset about the controversial redistricting plan in Elk Grove that would move dozens of students to new schools.

Students will not be impacted next year, but after that all bets are off.

Parents want the school board to start over with a new plan.

The school district says the reshuffling is necessary because some schools have too little enrollment, while other schools are too full.
