Driver Dies In Sacramento Light-Rail Train Crash
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A driver who drove between lowered crossing gates has died after the vehicle was struck by a light rail train on Thursday.
The crash happened on the Gold Line near Horn Road and Folsom Boulevard.
Witnesses at the scene say the car drove between lowered crossing gates.
The driver was a 67-year-old man.
A bus bridge will be in place to fill the gap created by the crash, but Regional Transit officials say light rail service will start on time on Friday morning.
