Deputies Searching For Armed Robber Who Tied Up Woman
AUBURN (CBS13) – Placer County deputies searching for armed robber who bound hands of woman who interrupted the crime at an Auburn gas station.
Deputies say the suspect entered the Chevron station on Lincoln Way in Auburn just after 2 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the clerk and told him to empty the cash register.
As the robbery was taking place, a woman delivering newspapers walked into the store. The suspect forced her behind the counter and taped her hands together. He then took the money and fled in a dark-colored pick-up truck.
Surveillance cameras captured an image of the suspect. He's described as a white man who appears to be 18 to 25 years old. He wore a striped beanie over shoulder-length blond hair. He is described as about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He had on a red T-shirt and a black camouflage jacket.
The truck he was driving had a chrome grill and chrome lining over the wheel wells.
