WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A cyclist was shot multiple times in West Sacramento on Tuesday morning, say authorities.

The shooting happened around 8 a.m. at the corner of Sycamore and Proctor Avenues, according to a West Sacramento Police Department statement. The 42-year-old victim and his girlfriend were riding their bicycles in the area when a vehicle pulled up, shot the victim and drove off.

The woman was not injured in the shooting.

The condition of the victim is unknown.

Police do not have a description of the vehicle, but say the investigation is ongoing.
