Court Ruling Could Reunite Dog And Owner After 5 Years
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A Sacramento woman and her dog could be reunited today after a five-year separation.
The dog, a little Pomeranian, went missing while in the care of a dog-sitter.
Several years passed and owner Donna Schwontkowski wrote a book about her missing dog.
Only then did her dog-sitter admit she gave away the pet.
"Most people say just give up, forget about it, get another dog," said Schwontkowski. "I couldn't . There was something in me."
Donna filed a lawsuit.
She even had to subpoena her dog, to ensure it will be at the courthouse.
A judge is set to rule on that case today.
