College Student Pays Tuition With $1 Bills
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A college student from Sacramento found an interesting way to protest the high cost of tuition.
Nicholas Ramos paid his $14,000 tuition bill with $1 bills.
The economics major from Sacramento attends the University of Colorado in Boulder.
He posted a video on YouTube explaining the message he wanted to send.
"I've got a few envelopes of $1000 in hundreds," says Ramos.
Ramos says all the dollars ended up weighing almost 30 pounds.
