Cal Fire Battling 45-Acre Blaze South Of Placerville

EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) - Crews are battling a growing fire south of Placerville.

The scene is off of Mount Aukum and Grizzly Flat Roads, about five miles south of Placerville.

As of 2:30 p.m., Cal Fire says the fire has grown to about 45 acres. The fire is 20 percent and is spreading at a moderate rate of speed, crews report.

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office says voluntary evacuations are in effect for the east side of Sandridge and Bucks Bar Road to Mount Aukum Road.

Mount Aukum Road is closed from Four Corners to Tiger's Eye, deputies say.
