Business Bandit: Same Woman Suspected In Handful Of Sacramento Robberies
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Investigators think the same woman has robbed several Sacramento businesses in recent days.
In a moment, an unassuming woman on surveillance video goes from customer to criminal.
"She had her hand in the purse, and point and we assume that's a gun," said Rakesh Soin, the owner of the Wienerschnitzel on Broadway.
That robbery happened on Monday, when a long-haired woman simulated a gun in her bag.
"We told our employees, just give the money with no hassle, no nothing."
Cameras catch her helping herself to cash in the drawer, but it was not on the first time.
"She doesn't look threatening, she didn't act threatening," said Debbie Milanova, the owner of Midtown's Legacy Boutique.
"She was looking around like she was shopping the store."
She says the same woman, complete with sunglasses would come into her store on Saturday, spending a number of minutes shopping, and then:
"She said, 'I have a gun, give me all the money in your register.'"
Cops are looking to see if four separate robberies over the past few days are connected.
"If definitely caught me off guard. I had no idea."
After grabbing the money, the bold bandit would walk out, closing the door and even rearranging a mannequin.
Debbie hopes the suspect gets move to jail soon.
"I would like her to get caught so it can stop."
