Billiard Ball Used In Auburn Store Break-In
AUBURN (CBS13) -- A burglary suspect used a billiard ball to break in to a clothing store in Auburn, stealing thousands of dollars of high-end merchandise.
The Nevada County Sheriff's Department says that store wasn't the only one hit early Sunday morning. A male suspect also tried to break into two other businesses along Grass Valley Highway.
Investigators have some surveillance video of a man throwing objects at a nearby convenience store window, but say they still don't know much about who they are looking for.
Chic Boutique estimates it lost at least $7,000 in merchandise, including designer brands such as Coach, Juicy and Hollister. The losses are especially difficult around the holiday season but the store's co-owner says it will remain in business.
