Big Rig Driver Suspected Of DUI In Fiery Fatal Crash On Interstate 5 Near Tracy
TRACY (CBS13) — A semi-truck driver has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a deadly accident on Interstate 5 near Tracy on Wednesday.
Investigators say the big rig was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 before 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday when it crossed over and struck a 2000 Honda on the other side. The Honda became fully engulfed in flames.
The driver of the Honda, a 33-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi-truck driver was arrested at the scene. He was uninjured.
